Join us for an unforgettable evening on the oceanfront lawn at Sugar Beach Events in Kihei, where the breathtaking colors of the Maui sunset set the stage for a relaxed and joyful Hawaiian celebration. Doors open at 4:30PM, giving you plenty of time to settle in and claim your favorite spot before the show begins at 5:00PM. Bring your own beach chair or blanket, kick back under the open sky, and let the warm spirit of aloha wash over you as the evening unfolds. The Sugar Beach Sunset Luau is a free-spirited, family-friendly event that invites guests of all ages to experience authentic Hawaiian culture in a casual and welcoming oceanfront setting. Live entertainment takes center stage as the sun dips below the horizon, filling the evening air with the sights and sounds of Hawaiʻi. Add a personal touch to your evening by creating your own Hawaiian lei poʻo, a beautiful handcrafted flower crown made using fresh flowers and greenery, available for purchase on-site. Specialty cocktails, a fully stocked bar, and a variety of island-inspired food options are available for purchase throughout the evening. From fresh ʻAhi Poke Bowls and savory Shoyu Chicken plates to Chicken Pad Thai and indulgent Hawaiian desserts, there is something delicious for every palate. Please note that outside food, beverages, and coolers are not permitted on the grounds. The show runs from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, with total event time of approximately 2.5 hours.

A variety of food and drink options are available for purchase at the Sugar Beach Sunset Luau. Food items include an ʻAhi Poke Bowl with green onions, hurricane sauce, furikake, unagi sauce, crunchy onion, and avocado over rice ($24, contains sesame seeds); Shoyu Chicken served with fried rice and a green salad with poppy seed dressing ($16, GF, DF, NF, contains sesame seeds); a Steak Plate featuring marinated flank steak with fried rice and green salad ($20, GF, DF, NF); Chicken Pad Thai with peanuts and local vegetables ($18, DF); and Vegetable Pad Thai with tofu, peanuts, and local vegetables ($16, V, DF). Desserts include the Big Kahuna Cannoli with ube cream, white chocolate, and toasted macadamia nuts ($8) and a Hawaiian 7-Layer Bar with vanilla wafer crust, kulolo, toasted macadamia nuts, honeycomb, and coconut ($8). Specialty cocktails and a fully stocked bar are also available for purchase throughout the evening. Guests must be of legal drinking age with valid photo ID to purchase alcoholic beverages.
